Why Peace & Love?

I know ‘Peace and Love’ can bring to mind the likes of the hippy movement, flower power, or the music and culture of the past ~ because of this I have, on occasion, pondered whether to use different words for my business so as not to cause confusion.

However, I've decided to explain instead ~ it’s important to know that ‘Peace & Love’ doesn’t actually belong to anyone, any group, movement, or teacher. It is in fact universal, timeless, and endlessly available to all.

Peace and Love are not things we have to create or achieve. It is the very essence of our True Nature, even when this seems beyond belief or far from reach.

What I’m referring to isn’t ‘airy fairy’ and a dismissing or distracting from real suffering... However, what I am pointing to is that which is the quiet, steady presence that exists beneath conditioned thinking, emotional struggle, and the roles we find ourselves playing in life.

Which by the way is exhausting!

Some of the people I work with are simply curious and searching for answers ~ however many are in deep suffering of which I have the utmost patience and compassion for.

The guidance I offer comes from resting as and through this awareness and I gently and carefully assist others to recognise it within themselves too.

So to reiterate the point of this message, it is important to note that this isn’t a bypassing of what is human, it is the harmony of recognising this play of life with all its ups and downs, twists and turns, pain, struggle and suffering alongside the natural peace within which is often missed.

Peace and Love are simple words, yet they actually point to something profound and universal ~ something that has always been here, neutrally, patiently and quietly present beneath the noise of your life’s story. No matter how mundane or messy that may seem.

So we can start to see through the belief of what these words perhaps first represented to us and recognise that not only is Peace & Love free, but it is also our very nature beyond and before the human suffering.
