THE GAME OF LIFE.

Updated: Jun 29, 2025

Remembering the joy of simply being~

“We are children who drive cars!”

When these words and this vision first came into my awareness, I couldn’t help but giggle!

Because once the True Self is recognised~realised, remembered~ you begin to see how deeply we had forgotten the simplicity of life.

Through no fault of our own, and simply through conditioning, we came to believe that life is meant to be hard… or at the very least, taken very seriously.

Life is so often seen as confusing, complex, even burdensome.

And yes, on the journey of awakening, we do need to be gentle with high emotions, confusion, and the needs of our bodies, our families, our children…

But eventually, there’s a clear and beautiful seeing:

The whole purpose of life is simply… to live it!

Just like children, there’s no grand purpose other than to play the game.

There’s no final destination, no box to tick—

We play simply because we can.

We gravitate toward what feels good.

We long to be free, light, carefree.

We love.

We want to be loved.

We live in peace~moment by moment~when we allow it.

We play the game of life, not because it’s serious, but because it brings joy.

And even when it feels deeply serious and real, we eventually come to realise (or as I like to say—real-eyes) that even this is part of the game too.

We RE-member.

So yes, we still do our daily tasks.

We care for ourselves, we show up for our families, we take responsibility for our actions, and we aim not to cause harm.

But we do all of this without the tightness, the heaviness, the rigidity, or the suffering.

We move with the flow of Life Itself.

We play, not to win, but just to play.

There’s nowhere to get to, and absolutely nothing to prove.

Just joy.

Just peace.

Just love.

Just grace.

Just fun.

Just like a child…

Only now we can drive cars and own houses!

And how amazing is that?

😂
