The Invitation to Remember Who You Truly Are
Before Self Realisation…
There is the belief that all you are is this character ~ your name, your history, your personality. A body, a mind, a story.
But in truth, you are far more than this.
You are the awareness in which this body and mind appear. You are not the character ~ you are that which observes the character.
And when this is truly seen, it becomes clear:
It was never the character that was going to realise anything.
⸻
What Awakens (or Remembers)?
The body may change, grow, age ~ but it will never “awaken.” It cannot. The body is an expression within awareness, but not the source of it.
What does awaken ~ or more accurately, what is remembered ~ is the truth that awareness has always been here. Always.
It was simply veiled by the belief that you were something smaller, something lacking.
And when this veil lifts, even for a moment, the realisation is profound:
You are not missing anything.
You are the essence of love itself.
⸻
The Illusion of Need.
The desire for another ~ to complete, to fulfil, to fix ~ arises from overlooking what’s already present.
The True Self, which is Infinite awareness, lacks nothing. It needs nothing. It wants nothing.
It is already whole. Already full. Already LOVE.
This is why Self Realisation is often called life’s greatest gift ~ and why it is beyond belief.
Because belief itself is what was hiding the truth.
⸻
The Role of “Others”
Because the True Self is Infinite and undivided, it follows that everyone ~ every other ~ is also this same essence.
There is no separation. Only the appearance of it.
Yet the human experience still includes the sensation of being separate. It includes emotions, desires, triggers and relationships. And these are not mistakes. In fact, they are gifts.
Each “other” can act as a mirror ~ a guide, whether conscious or unconscious.
Some mirrors reflect more clearly than others. Some stir more emotion. And often, we resist what we’re being shown.
This is where conflict arises ~ not because of the other, but because of what is being touched within.
⸻
The Mirror of Relationship.
If you find yourself caught in the same argument, or repeatedly triggered by someone ~ pause and ask:
What within me is being stirred?
What belief, identity, or wound is ready to be seen?
This is never about blame or shame ~ and it doesn’t mean accepting abuse. Rather, it’s an invitation.
A sacred opportunity to return home to yourself.
And if both people in a relationship are aware of this, a beautiful unfolding can happen. You assist each other’s deepening into Truth.
But even if only you are aware ~ that’s enough. The gift is still available.
⸻
The Trap of Seeking Completion.
Many spiritual circles speak of soulmates, twin flames, divine unions ~ and there is beauty in these connections. But the greatest misunderstanding is this:
No other can complete you.
Because you are already complete.
The desperate search for someone to fix what you feel is missing will only lead to more confusion and suffering.
Life knows what you truly need ~ because You (the real You) are Life itself.
When this is seen, grasping softens. Desperation dissolves. And what’s left is openness, clarity, and peace.
⸻
True Union
A relationship rooted in Self Realisation is not based on lack, or need.
It’s a meeting of two beings who know they are already whole.
And in this space, a different kind of love is experienced ~ one that is spacious, kind, grounded in truth.
Still human, yes ~ but also deeply sacred.
But let’s not romanticise this: finding “another” is not necessary for Realisation. It is not the point.
It’s a possible expression, a reflection ~ a bonus, not a requirement.
⸻
Life Is Always Offering the Invitation.
Self Realisation does not depend on any one path. The invitation can come through a romantic relationship, solitude, illness, nature, loss, a stranger ~ even an animal.
All of life is pointing you back to the same truth:
You are already what you are seeking.
You are already home.
⸻
And so, this is the invitation…
To remember who you truly are.
To stop searching and see.
To rest as what has always been here.
Everything shared here is simply a reflection,
a pointer,
an assistance in the flowering of the True Self.
The greatest AHA is not something new ~
It’s the recognition of what’s always been true.
